Advice: The younger you are the more forgiving society will be to you – high school is a time where you make mistakes, but it’s also a time where you learn from them. Make sure you do.
What is your favourite thing about EIM?
I love how comfortable and friendly the environment is, and I love working with people who are all very entertaining individuals.
What was your favourite subject to learn in high school and why?
My favourite subject in high school was HANDS DOWN L’ANGLAIS (English). My teacher was amazing, my classmates were all really funny and chill, and the subject was honestly really fun (yes I’m a nerd I know). Apart from English it would probably be Chinese. I took Heritage Chinese as a subject for 3 terms in Year 11 which was a huge mistake because I barely knew any Chinese at the time but you know… Sometimes you need that yolo mentality.
Describe yourself in 3 words
Fabulous, kawaii, weird
What are you most proud of?
My dogs. LOL. I am literally so proud that their names go together like Tom and Jerry (Nina and Nico). They are the cutest patooties I luv them and am soopah proud of them.
Best experience from high school?
If I were to pick one, it would probably be performing in the production of “Grease” the musical. I’ve always been pretty cautious and I never really enjoyed branching out to really new things but I think it was one of the best decisions I made to audition for the production. I formed a lot of close friendships and it was definitely fun leaving school and heading to the nearby cafes in Surry Hills to chill or celebrate.
Who is one person, dead or alive, that you would want to meet?
I want to meet Shakespeare. LOL I want to see whether he actually wrote any of his plays or whether he’s just a fake who plagiarised off of other nobodies. Or maybe I would want to meet the woman who sang La Vie en Rose because I wonder how she must have felt when she suddenly became so famous. I do not know I just want to meet everybody.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Probably Japan. Japan is such a peaceful and nice country; when I went there on a holiday I literally felt my soul healing and my ageing process slow down a little.
Why do you like working at EIM?
Everyone is such an entertaining individual. I mean even though I get roasted on a daily basis I love how everyone gets along so well so I guess I’m okay with sacrificing myself. I also like how everybody isn’t afraid to share their thoughts with one another – I really appreciate that because it really helps when we’re brainstorming for creative ideas, etc.
Behind the scenes at EIM, we have an incredible team of people who strive to help you do the best you can. This blog series helps you get to know all the people who contribute to the amazing learning experience for every student who walks through our doors. Stay tuned to meet the rest of the team!
